"After decades representing individual claimants and corporate plaintiffs, handling complex insurance coverage matters, and defending bodily injury and wrongful death cases, I try to bring my experience from both sides of the fence to bear on the resolution of difficult, complex cases. Litigation is challenging for the lawyers as well as for the parties, and I take great satisfaction being the peacemaker for them. Preparation, persistence and patience are the three Ps to successful mediations. Many times, the parties are unable to come to an agreement on the day of the mediation, but given time and follow-up, an agreement can often be reached in the days, weeks or even months after.”

Biography
Roger Clark brings more than four decades of national trial and litigation experience to his work helping parties resolve complex disputes with clarity, empathy, and precision. Known for his ability to connect personally with counsel and clients, he approaches mediation with a balance of legal insight and emotional intelligence, creating a process that is both strategic and human. His experience representing plaintiffs, defendants, insurers, and corporations across the country gives him a rare perspective on how each side evaluates risk, value, and resolution.
Roger’s career as a trial lawyer spanned a wide spectrum of practice areas, including aviation, insurance coverage, business and commercial disputes, intellectual property, employment, and real estate litigation. After practicing with both plaintiff and defense firms in Florida and California, he founded his own firm in 1992, maintaining offices in both states and managing cases nationwide in state and federal courts. Having advocated for clients in wrongful death and catastrophic injury matters as well as high-stakes insurance coverage and commercial cases, he developed a deep understanding of the competing pressures and priorities that drive complex litigation.
This dual experience, as he describes it, allows him to “litigate both sides of the fence,” an advantage that now defines his mediation practice. Roger believes that effective dispute resolution requires empathy and precision in equal measure. He tailors his approach to the unique personalities and priorities of each case, helping parties identify the issues that matter most and guiding them toward balanced, informed outcomes.
Roger completed his mediation training at Pepperdine University’s Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution in 2017 and became a full-time mediator with Signature Resolution in 2022. His expertise is especially valued in aviation and insurance matters, where complex legal frameworks and multi-jurisdictional issues often shape outcomes. Drawing from his years managing intricate litigation, he is skilled at helping parties evaluate risk, recognize procedural and substantive challenges, and reach resolutions that are both practical and durable.
In addition to his work as a mediator, Roger is an accomplished teacher, author, and speaker. For more than seventeen years, he taught aviation law and trial advocacy at Rutgers University School of Law, earning the Adjunct Professor of the Year Award in 2009. He continues to share his knowledge through writing, speaking, and mentoring, bringing the same curiosity and engagement to the classroom that he brings to the mediation room.
Roger has been honored throughout his career for his excellence and integrity, including the Armitage Distinguished Alumni Award from Rutgers University School of Law, awarded annually to one graduate for outstanding achievement in law. He has also been recognized by Super Lawyers, Best Lawyers in America, and Martindale-Hubbell, and has been named a Fellow of both the American Bar Foundation and the Litigation Counsel of America.
Outside of his professional work, Roger is a novelist, podcaster, and avid traveler. He hosts The Fourscore Project, which explores solutions to contemporary social and civic challenges. He and his family have hiked extensively across Scotland, Ireland, and Vietnam, experiences he credits with strengthening his appreciation for perseverance, perspective, and shared purpose. He is also a member of SAG-AFTRA and the author of three novels: Point Dume, Casting Stones, and All Storms Pass.
Roger’s career reflects a lifelong commitment to understanding people, solving problems, and bridging differences. He brings that same commitment to every mediation, helping parties move from conflict toward resolution with confidence and respect.
