Biography
Ellie K. Vilendrer is a distinguished mediator and arbitrator with Signature Resolution, recognized nationally for her leadership as Chair-Elect of the American Bar Association’s Section of Dispute Resolution and her work advancing dispute resolution legislation and policy. She serves on the American Arbitration Association’s Commercial, Technology, Healthcare, and Employment arbitration panels.
Over nearly two decades of practice, Ellie has built a career handling complex commercial disputes while developing deep expertise in technology, privacy, and intellectual property law. For more than a decade, she advised technology companies as outside general counsel, intellectual property counsel, and privacy counsel. She holds the distinguished certifications of Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) and Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT), and is co-author of the data privacy chapter in the Representing the Ongoing Business Deskbook (3rd Edition). A lifelong technology enthusiast, Ellie also co-founded an AI company in 2013 that pioneered a predictive platform for mobile application features and marketing campaigns, giving her firsthand experience as both legal counsel and technology entrepreneur.
A defining aspect of Ellie’s career has been her extensive work with survivors of sexual abuse. As both former counsel to survivors and a neutral in mass tort litigation, she brings a trauma-informed approach to resolving highly sensitive disputes. Her experience spans mass torts, mass arbitrations, and class action mediations, making her a sought-after neutral for complex, multi-party matters. Known for her energy, empathy, and steadfast focus on results, she holds an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell, is a Southern California Super Lawyer in ADR, and an appointed Fellow of the American Bar Foundation.
